This world-class bicycle racing track is named after one of the sport's 19th-century greats. The 333 1/3 meter track is smooth concrete with 28 degree banking in the turns. The 33 foot concrete apron also offers a great place for inline skating. Although the track is used by many elite bicycle racers, it is suitable for ages 10+. Clinics, organized group instructions and individual open riding times are available. The velodrome, one of only 18 in the country, hosts many national and international biking competitions as well as remote control car races and concerts. Next to the track is the Lake Sullivan BMX Track, an American Bicycle Association certified bicycle motocross track. Open riding, weather permitting.
