Second Helpings is a food rescue, job training and hunger relief organization serving greater Indianapolis that safely utilizes rescued food to train and educate adults in the culinary field and to distribute nutritious meals to agencies serving the disadvantaged.
To date, Second Helpings has rescued more than 5.5 million pounds of food; trained and placed 184 adults in careers in the food service industry; and prepared and distributed over 1.8 million meals serving those in need.
